ABOUT

Armor Studio Marutake was established in 1958. We mainly use materials such as iron, leather, wood, cloth, and paper for the materials of our armor. There are no blueprints, etc. We will cut out from one iron plate with the hands of outstanding craftsmen and use colors and modern paints to add color and texture and finish. Especially when it comes to armor production, it will be faithfully reproduced without impairing its original beauty. It will take about 1 month to make a normal armor and about 6 months to make a armor of a museum. It is our desire to convey to the world the beauty of ancient Japanese armor and the comprehensive art unique to armor.
